Study in Motion

Studio shot of my daughter moving across the frame.  I had a lot of fun collaborating with her on this shot.  Click on the image for a larger version.

Setup info: 4’ softbox with grid (to control the spread of the light) to the left of the model.  Hot light about 20’ to the right of the frame.

Really nice work Alex. I'm finding some inspiration for another concept I've been rolling about my head from this.

Thanks, Dave. This concept rolled around in my head for many years before I finally did it. I'm not done with this concept. I plan to shoot a similar setup again.

Very cool. Just one fire of the strobe in the softbox, correct?

Yes, Michael, one pop at the end (rear curtain sync).
