Eight

My friend Steve set up a session with a model and invited me to participate.  The model went by the moniker "Eight."  She was quite tall and and wore heels to boot, so she towered over me.  Eight was a bundle of energy and couldn't wait to start shooting.  We found our first shoot location and I stepped back and started to dial in my initial camera settings only to look up and see that I had already missed four poses.  She meant business. I knew I was going to have to step up my game to keep up with Eight.

Within minutes of starting our shoot, I got this image.

We then moved to the next establishment over, Halcyon.  The way the overhead lights mixed with the setting sun grabbed my attention.

Next we rounded the corner and I saw the golden hour light hitting this red window.

When the golden hour light faded, we moved a few steps further up the sidewalk.

Next we hiked a block or two over to the new W Hotel and shot in front of a bare concrete wall.  In this shot, I was looking for a fashion magazine kind of look.

We were going to put the bike on the sidewalk that you see on the right, but luck was not on our side.  The moment she drove the bike up on the sidewalk, four cops who were having dinner at a sidewalk cafe immediately told her to get the bike off of the sidewalk.  I thought we were in trouble, but somehow we were able to negotiate a few minutes in this lane of the street that was closed due to construction. Fortunes turn quickly. We had a  blast shooting the bike.

Next, we headed up Congress Avenue and found this trailer that I believe serves lunches during the day.
